apologies for the crappy dark photo. for the curious, it's a photo of the place behind (?) the courthouse, next to Padang Merdeka. i thought it appropriate to put up, as it was taken during my drive and also made me realise, again, to the fact that things change all the time, and there's just no way around it. another one of life's many wake-up calls.

yes i remember. it was a year ago. you were wearing your blue shirt from cotton on and it got a stain on it after that looked like bird shit. we argued three times. two girls walked past singing kelly clarkson's "because of you" and we laughed at their youth, i didn't know how much that song would come to mean to me. but yes, the fireworks were beautiful, all the more so because you were there with me.

bought a similar pair of thongs in Beijing, 3 times! cause it broke, they were 10 kuai (rm5) and these were 100baht (rm10) but had good thick rubber soles so may last longer this time :)

was already planning to have breakfast by the beach so at 8 i reluctantly got up from my comfy deckchair and chose a table by the sea to eat. first bowl: muesli with fruits. OMG it was nice! sad lonely breakfast among geriatic couples :P

Old Man came home on Wednesday after work and announced he was dragging my lazy
bum off to Thailand, to 'sit in' on his sales meeting. Was bewildered and estatic at the same time (yes it's a weird feeling!) at the thought of going to Bangkok again, but found out later it was at a beach resort in Hua Hin, 2 and 1/2 hours' drive from Bangkok, a place called Anantara Resort.

he dumped me on an MAS flight via KL while he took a comfy Business Class seat via Singapore. the ticket cost quite a bit though, so i supposed i should be grateful. sat next to a strange angmoh with a too short shirt. i blame cao ge's 'bei pan' for my unexpected prolonged pondering on certain events of last year and i wasted yet another ml of bodily fluids on thinking about it. oh heck i'm allowed to wallow once in a while :S
