this morning my family went to the Teochew Cemetary where my paternal grandpa and great-grandma are. call me morbid but i like going there, it's a beautiful, peaceful place. i would like to post photos but it might be 'pantang' or something, so you'll just have to take my word for it ;)
after the Teochew Cemetary we went to my mother's place, cause my youngest aunt hadn't seen the finished grave yet. hmm, just typing that word makes me feel weird, i still feel that words like that are not associated with my mother :P anyway i saw a family at the end visiting what appeared like a new grave. one of them, a young girl not more than 20 years, just stood at then end the whole time, not moving, just looking. i wish i could have gone over to her and put my arm around her, just to let her know she wasn't alone in what she was feeling. but this is Asia, and i didn't :P
we went to have breakfast after that and had to split up cause Expert Food Court at 4 & 1/2 mile was PACKED completely. so the rest of us went to Lau Tee Fang kopitiam instead, and i got some o-cho mee (black vinegar noodles). yumminess! since i've been back from Bangkok, i've taken to eating cut chili with my food, something i never used to do at all. my kakak says it will help to 'heat' my body up and enable me to withstand the cold better. it remains to be seen, but i don't think it's working for her! everytime i turn on the a/c she starts complaining like mad, and her belacan is the one-drop-will-make-your-world-spin kind!
Old Man came in as i was facebooking (i'm such an addict, i have it set as my homepage :S), put this on my table, proclaimed it as very nice and left. he's so weird sometimes. it was all broken inside so i carefully rearranged it for the photo lol. he came back from Korea recently and brought a WHOLE LOAD of stuff with him. lots of Korean biscuity things given by colleagues and LOTS of dried squid. wow. korean dried squid is no kidding good stuff man. another post about it if i ever get around to it :D
anyway, it was just okaayyy in my opinion. the biscuit was crunchy and caramel-ish, and there was a THIN chocolate filling in the middle, with obvious emphasis on thin (not that i should be complaining, Ms. 56!!!) it's made by the famous Korean company, Lotte.
ARGH~!!! had a tissue that i put aside cause i only used a small part to wipe my mouth with and the whole thing suddenly became infested with ants mann. i have a serious ant problem. anyone got any good suggestions?
what shall i do now? death note or heroes or nanny mcphee?
